Travel guide
Disneyland Paris from the UK: trains, hotels and tips
Disneyland Paris is about 32 km east of Paris (Disneyland Paris), and from London you can get there by train with one change. This guide explains the train routes, what the official sites say about Disney Hotels and Partner Hotels, and what to check before you book a room. We're an independent site and not connected with Disney.
Is there a direct Eurostar?
No, not at the moment. When we checked (30 October 2026), Eurostar's Help Centre said: "We're currently not running a direct Eurostar service between London and Disneyland® Paris" (Eurostar Help Centre). Instead, Eurostar suggests changing trains at Lille or Paris and continuing to Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy, the station the Help Centre describes as opposite the park gates.
Older guides and forum posts may still mention a direct train from St Pancras. Go by what Eurostar's own site says on the day you book.
Route 1: Eurostar to Lille, then TGV
This is the route Eurostar promotes for Disneyland Paris (Eurostar).
- Take Eurostar from London St Pancras International to Lille Europe.
- Change at Lille Europe onto a TGV to Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy (Eurostar Help Centre).
You can book both legs together on Eurostar's website by choosing "Disneyland® Paris (Marne-La-Vallée Chessy)" as your destination; the Help Centre says these tickets usually go on sale about 4 months ahead (Eurostar Help Centre). Eurostar's route page gives 1 hour 22 minutes from London to Lille, "just over an hour" on the TGV, and a fastest overall time of 2 hours 59 minutes (Eurostar).
If your Eurostar runs late, the TGV won't wait. Eurostar's answer is "Unfortunately, no", but it adds that Eurostar and SNCF have agreements "allowing you to catch the next available train" at no extra cost (Eurostar).
Route 2: Eurostar to Paris, then the RER
Eurostar says most of its London–Paris trains go on sale 10 to 11 months ahead (Eurostar Help Centre), so this route can be bookable earlier than the Lille connection. From Paris Gare du Nord, Eurostar's suggested route is:
- Take the RER B towards Robinson, Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse or Massy-Palaiseau.
- At Châtelet–Les Halles, cross the platform to the RER A towards Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy.
- Get off at Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy.
Eurostar says RER trains leave Gare du Nord "every 10 minutes or so" and the trip takes around an hour including the change. You buy RER tickets on the day from the booths or machines at Gare du Nord; children aged 4–9 travel at half price and under-4s go free on the RER (Eurostar Help Centre).
The RER A splits east of Paris. Only the branch from Saint-Germain-en-Laye ends at "Marne la Vallée Chessy - Parc Disneyland"; the other eastern branch goes to Boissy-Saint-Léger (Transilien), so check the destination on the platform. SNCF Connect puts the RER A ride from Châtelet–Les Halles at about 45 minutes (SNCF Connect).
On tickets: Île-de-France Mobilités says its single Metro-Train-RER ticket covers metro, RER and train lines throughout the Île-de-France region (airport stations excluded), with connections allowed for 2 hours after you validate it (Île-de-France Mobilités). Check the ticket rules on the day, as they do change.
Other train links into Chessy
Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy is a main-line station as well as an RER stop: SNCF Connect lists TGV INOUI, OUIGO, Eurostar and RER A services there (SNCF Connect). Disneyland Paris's own business site says the stations are on site, a few minutes' walk from the parks and hotels, and that Charles de Gaulle airport is about 10 minutes away by train (Disneyland Paris).
One of the parks also has a new name: the second park was renamed Disney Adventure World when World of Frozen opened on 29 March 2026 (Disneyland Paris News), so older guides may still call it Walt Disney Studios Park.
Flying instead
If you fly into Paris-Charles de Gaulle or Paris-Orly, Disneyland Paris's FAQ points to the Magical Shuttle, a coach transfer run by a third party that links both airports with the parks, the Disney Hotels and the Partner Hotels (Disneyland Paris). Magical Shuttle describes itself as an "Approved carrier of Disneyland® Paris since 1992" (Magical Shuttle). Disneyland Paris advises checking that your flight times fit the shuttle's operating hours (Disneyland Paris).
By public transport from Charles de Gaulle, Magny-le-Hongre's town council suggests the RER B to Châtelet–Les Halles, then the RER A to Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy (Magny-le-Hongre). The TGV from the airport is quicker (see above).
Disney Hotels or Partner Hotels?
The official site lists two kinds of hotel: Disney Hotels (Disneyland Paris) and Partner Hotels (Disneyland Paris). The benefits and the distance to the parks differ, so it's worth knowing which one you're booking.
Disney Hotels
Disneyland Paris has seven Disney Hotels (Disneyland Paris News). Its FAQ says all of them are within walking distance of the parks except Disney Davy Crockett Ranch (Disneyland Paris). For the four in our collection:
- Disneyland Hotel: directly at the entrance of Disneyland Park (Disneyland Paris).
- Disney Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel: about a 10-minute walk from the parks (Disneyland Paris).
- Disney Newport Bay Club: about a 15-minute walk (Disneyland Paris).
- Disney Hotel Santa Fe: about a 20-minute walk, or roughly 8 minutes on the free shuttle (Disneyland Paris).
Disney Hotel guests also get Extra Magic Time, which means entering one or both parks before official opening. The official FAQ says the details can change by date (Disneyland Paris), and Disneyland Paris lists it as a benefit of Disney Hotel stays (Disneyland Paris). The pages we could read didn't say that Partner Hotel guests get it, so don't count on it there.
Partner Hotels in Magny-le-Hongre
Four hotels in our collection are in Magny-le-Hongre, which the town council says is 3 km from Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy station (Magny-le-Hongre). All four are served by a free shuttle bus to the parks (Val de France shuttle).
- B&B Hôtel and Explorers Hotel are on Disneyland Paris's Partner Hotels list, and Dream Castle Hotel has its own pages on the official site (Disneyland Paris).
- We couldn't find the Grand Magic Hotel on the official Disneyland Paris site. The hotel's own website still describes it as "ex Magic Circus" in its location details (Grand Magic Hotel), so you may see the old name on booking sites.
- The free "Val de France" shuttle serves all four of these hotels. You catch it back from stop N at the Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy bus station, and it's only for hotel guests (Val de France shuttle).
- Explorers and Dream Castle both say the shuttle runs every 20 minutes (40 minutes off-peak), from 8am until 2 hours after the parks close (Explorers Hotel, Dream Castle Hotel). Dream Castle puts the parks 5 km away, about 10 minutes by shuttle (Dream Castle Hotel).
What to check before you book
- Park tickets. If you book a room on its own, it may not include park tickets, so check what your booking covers and buy tickets separately if needed. The Grand Magic Hotel's FAQ says a dated ticket is now needed to get into the parks (Grand Magic Hotel).
- Shuttle times. If you're staying off-site, check the first and last shuttle on your dates against park opening hours and any evening plans.
- Train ticket release dates. Lille connections usually go on sale about 4 months ahead, and London–Paris trains about 10–11 months ahead (Eurostar Help Centre).
- Passports and the EES. France follows Schengen rules on passport dates, and GOV.UK says Eurostar passengers do their EES checks at St Pancras before leaving the UK (GOV.UK). Our travel documents checklist has the details.
- Which park is which. Disney Adventure World is the new name for the second park (Disneyland Paris News).
Questions people ask
Is there a direct train from London to Disneyland Paris?
Not when we checked on 30 October 2026. Eurostar's Help Centre said: "We're currently not running a direct Eurostar service between London and Disneyland® Paris." You change at Lille Europe (onto a TGV) or at Paris Gare du Nord (onto the RER).
Which station is Disneyland Paris?
Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy. It's the end of one branch of the RER A (Transilien) and is also served by TGV, OUIGO and Eurostar trains (SNCF Connect). Eurostar describes it as opposite the park gates (Eurostar Help Centre).
Can I walk to the parks from the Magny-le-Hongre hotels?
They're designed around a free shuttle bus. Dream Castle Hotel, for example, says the parks are 5 km away, about 10 minutes by shuttle (Dream Castle Hotel). Disney's own walkable hotels are the Disney Hotels, apart from Disney Davy Crockett Ranch (Disneyland Paris).
Do Partner Hotel guests get Extra Magic Time?
The official pages we could read only describe Extra Magic Time for Disney Hotel guests (Disneyland Paris). If early entry matters to you, check with Disneyland Paris or your hotel before booking.
